Why Lewisville Pools Leak
A good share of Lewisville’s pools went in during the ’80s and ’90s. At that age, the original seals, skimmers, and plumbing have been through a lot of Texas summers.
The ground here is thick clay. After a good rain it expands, and by August it’s dried out and split open. A pool sits in the middle of that, and the shell, the pipes under the deck, and the deck itself all get strained by the back-and-forth.
That strain doesn’t always show. A pool can look perfectly fine from the patio while a line under the deck is slowly pulling apart.
Services
Pool Leak Detection and Repair in Lewisville
Before we recommend any repair, we test the pool and show you where it’s leaking. Some leaks are a quick seal job and some mean opening up a section of deck, and you’ll know which one you’ve got before we start.

Leak Detection
We'll test until we've tracked down every leak, and you'll get a report with everything we found.

Skimmer Repair
An older skimmer can crack or come loose from the concrete around it. We'll reseal it or put in a new one, depending on what shape it's in.

Crack Repair
A crack in the plaster or shell can let water out slowly for months. We'll find out how far it goes and seal it so it holds.

Underground Pipe Repair
Clay pulling at buried plumbing can snap a line or split a fitting. We find the break first, so the digging stays in one spot.

Foundation Leveling
A pool that's sinking on one side needs support underneath. Our steel pier work is planned with a licensed Texas engineer.

Tile and Coping
Coping that rocks underfoot or tile falling off at the waterline can let water in behind them. We'll set them back in place or replace them.

Pumps, Filters, Lights
We repair Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy equipment. A leaking light niche or a drip at the pump gets taken care of too.

Pool Demolition and Removal
If you'd like the pool gone for good, we'll handle the demolition and haul it all away.
How We Find the Leak
Initial Inspection
We ask how fast the water's dropping and whether it drops more with the pump running. Then we look over the pool and the equipment.
Dye Testing
A little dye around the skimmer, returns, lights, and cracks shows whether water's being drawn out there.
Pressure Testing
Every plumbing line gets sealed off and put under pressure to see if it holds.
Acoustic Detection
On a line that fails, acoustic listening equipment helps us find the spot where the water's getting out, so the dig can be small.
Structural Evaluation and Report
If the shell's cracked or the pool has shifted, we get a licensed Texas engineer involved. Everything we found goes in your report.

Signs Your Pool Might Be Leaking
A pool loses about a quarter inch a day to evaporation in the summer. Any of these on top of that points to a leak:
- Refilling more than once a week
- A water bill that keeps creeping up
- Chlorine and pH that won’t stay where you set them
- Wet spots in the yard that never seem to dry out
- Cracks along the tile line or in the deck
- Air bubbles showing up in the pump basket
There’s an easy way to check this at home: the 24-hour tape test in the FAQ.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What does leak detection cost in Lewisville?
We price it by the pool’s size and how much plumbing there is to test. Pools with a spa, or with plumbing that’s hard to get to, take longer. You’ll have the price before we start, and the repair is quoted separately once we know what it is. Repairs average roughly $2,500.
Can a pool leak damage my house?
It can. Water from a leak soaks into the clay under the deck and the ground around it, and wet clay swells and moves, which over time can lead to settling and cracks nearby. The sooner the leak’s fixed, the less water ends up in the ground.
Is my pool leaking, or is it just the heat?
Run the 24-hour tape test. Turn off the autofill, put a strip of tape on the wall at the water line, and mark it. Wait 24 hours without adding water, then check it. Evaporation in summer takes about a quarter inch a day, so any drop past that is likely a leak.
Can you fix it the same day?
Sometimes. Smaller repairs are often finished that day or soon after. Bigger jobs, like pipe work under a deck, can run longer, and you’ll get a timeline once we know what’s wrong.
Does it matter what kind of pool I have?
Not really. We find and fix leaks in vinyl, fiberglass, gunite, and concrete pools.
