About Keller
What Wears Out in Keller Pools
Plenty of the pools in Hidden Lakes, Highland Oaks, Brentwood Estates, Marshall Ridge, and Glen Forest have been in the ground 20 years or more. That’s long enough for the seals around the skimmer, returns, and lights to dry out, and for pipe joints that held for years to start weeping.
Many Keller yards have clay in the soil, too. It swells after a good rain and shrinks back as it dries, and each round pushes on the shell and tugs at the pipes under the deck.
Services
Pool Leak Detection and Repair in Keller
Leak detection is usually where we start. Once we know what failed, you’ll get a price for fixing it, and from there it’s your call. There’s more on each repair on our pool repair page.

Leak Detection
Every line, fitting, and light gets checked. You'll see where the water's leaving before we talk about repairs.

Skimmer Repair
Sometimes all a skimmer needs is a fresh seal where it meets the pool. If the skimmer body itself is cracked, we'll put in a new one.

Crack Repair
Some cracks are only in the plaster and don't leak at all. A dye test shows whether yours is taking water, and if it is, we'll check whether the shell's still moving before we fix it.

Underground Pipe Repair
Buried pipe that's sat in Keller soil for decades can crack at a joint. We find the broken spot from above, then dig down to it and replace the bad section.

Foundation Leveling
When a pool starts to tilt, the waterline tile usually gives it away by sitting higher at one end. Leveling it takes steel piers and a plan from a licensed Texas engineer.

Tile and Coping
Coping stones rock loose and waterline tile chips as a pool gets older. We'll replace the bad pieces and match them as closely as we can.

Pumps, Filters, Lights
We service Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy pumps, filters, and lights. A pad that's always wet could be the equipment leaking, and we'll check that before blaming the pool.

Pool Demolition and Removal
A pool nobody swims in still costs money to keep up. If you're ready to be done with it, we'll remove it and haul off the debris.
How We Locate Leaks
Initial Inspection
It starts with a walk around the pool and equipment and a few questions, like how long it's been dropping and whether anything was repaired before.
Dye Testing
We squeeze a little dye next to fittings, lights, drains, and cracks. If water's escaping there, the dye gets pulled in.
Pressure Testing
Each line is capped at the pool and pressurized. We watch the gauge for a while, and the pressure falls on any line with a break in it.
Acoustic Detection
An acoustic listening device tells us where along the line the break is, so the hole we dig is a small one.
Structural Evaluation and Report
Shell cracks, settling, and heaved decking all get noted, and anything structural goes to a licensed Texas engineer. The report's yours the same day.

Signs Your Pool Has a Leak
Evaporation takes about a quarter inch a day off a Keller pool in summer. Past that, here’s what usually points to a leak:
- You’re adding water more often than you used to
- A water bill that’s climbed a couple of months running
- Algae or cloudy water no matter how you treat it
- Ground near the equipment that never quite dries out
- Loose tile or coping, or a crack that’s getting longer
- The pump sucking air, or bubbles coming out of the jets
A strip of tape and 24 hours can settle it. See the FAQ for how.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is leak detection in Keller?
Larger pools and longer pipe runs take more testing, so the price goes with the size of your pool and its plumbing. Any repair gets its own price, and you’ll see both before we start. The average repair runs about $2,500.
How can I tell if it's just evaporation?
Use the 24-hour tape test. Shut off the autofill, put a piece of tape at the water line, and mark the level. Run the pump on its normal schedule, don’t add any water, and look again tomorrow. In summer, a quarter inch a day is normal evaporation, so a drop bigger than that probably means a leak.
My pool's 30 years old. Is it worth fixing?
Often the trouble is seals, a skimmer, or a section of pipe, and those can be fixed. If we find something bigger, like the shell moving, we’ll lay out your options, including taking the pool out.
How long does a repair take?
It depends on what we find. A skimmer reseal is often done the day we start, while buried pipe and pier work take longer. You’ll get a timeline along with the price.
Will a leak get worse if I wait?
It usually does. The escaping water keeps soaking the soil around the pool, and a cracked pipe tends to crack further. Waiting also means paying to refill it all summer.
