Leak Trouble in Trophy Club
We regularly work on Trophy Club pools with a spa attached. The spa adds plumbing, and the spot where the spa and pool connect is a common place for a leak to start. The skimmer is another, and so are the buried lines out to the equipment.
Trophy Club also has clay in the soil, and it expands when it’s wet and contracts as it dries. Between hot summers and heavy rain, it’s rarely still for long, which is hard on fittings and on the shell.
Services
Pool Leak Detection and Repair in Trophy Club
We handle the repair too, once we know what’s leaking. Our pool repair page goes into each one.

Leak Detection
Pool, spa, plumbing, and equipment all get tested, and we mark where the leak is so you can see it for yourself.

Skimmer Repair
A skimmer that's separated from the pool wall lets water slip out around it. We'll reseal the joint, or replace a cracked skimmer outright.

Crack Repair
Shell cracks get a dye test to see if they're leaking. If a crack is still moving, we deal with the cause before we seal it.

Underground Pipe Repair
Every buried line gets a pressure test, the spa's included. Once the break's located, we repair that stretch of pipe.

Foundation Leveling
Steel piers, placed to a licensed Texas engineer's plan, stop a pool that's settling or leaning.

Tile and Coping
We reset loose coping and replace cracked tile, on the pool or the spa.

Pumps, Filters, Lights
We fix Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy pumps, filters, and lights. A pump that keeps losing prime is worth a look, since that can be a sign of a leak.

Pool Demolition and Removal
If you're ready to give up the pool, we'll take it out, spa and all, and cart it away.
Step by Step Leak Detection
Initial Inspection
Before any testing, we want the history: when the level started dropping, how fast, and whether the spa seems to lose water too.
Dye Testing
A little dye at each fitting, light, drain, and crack shows us whether water's being pulled out there.
Pressure Testing
The pool and spa lines are plugged and pressure tested separately, so a leaking line can't hide.
Acoustic Detection
On a line that fails, acoustic gear lets us hear the break through the deck or yard.
Structural Evaluation and Report
Cracks and settling are noted in your report and reviewed with a licensed Texas engineer.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a leak detection visit?
Pricing follows the size of the pool and how much plumbing there is to test, and we’ll tell you the number up front. You’ll get a repair quote separately, before any work. Our repairs average about $2,500.
Can you find leaks in a pool with an attached spa?
We do it regularly. We test the spa’s lines and fittings along with the pool’s, and we look hard at the joint between the two, since that’s where many of those leaks start.
Is it a leak if I'm still losing water in the fall?
Probably. Evaporation slows way down once it cools off, so a pool that keeps dropping at the same pace in October is likely leaking. The 24-hour tape test will tell you: turn off the autofill, put a strip of tape at the water line and mark it, then leave the pool alone for a day without adding water. Even in summer, evaporation only takes about a quarter inch a day, so a bigger drop than that points to a leak.
Why do the fittings on my pool keep failing?
Soil movement is a big part of it. As the clay around the pool swells and shrinks, it works on the joints where pipes meet fittings, and over time one lets go.
We're selling our house. Can you check the pool first?
We can. We’ll test it, write up what we find, and price any repairs, so there aren’t surprises when the buyer’s inspector comes through. There’s more on our selling a home page.
